Behaviour Mentor - Level 2 Millgate School Salary: Grade 9 Pay Point 19-22 (£32,070 - £34,359 per annum, approximate starting salary of £27,438.07) Hours: 37 hours per week, 39 weeks per year Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our behaviour and relationship team as a behaviour mentor. Your role will involve leading pastoral interventions in order to support our children’s social, emotional and mental health needs, emotional literacy and social interaction. You will also be led by our phase leads to ensure behaviour is well supported within the classroom and vital links between home and the school are maintained. As one of our mentors, you will develop your own timetable to work flexibly in supporting the well-being of our young people and encourage them to be reflective and responsible. This provides children with continuity of care.” - OFSED Key Responsibilities Devise and implement behaviour and social skills interventions with individuals or small groups. Plan and organise programmes of provision to be delivered by support staff specifically for pupils experiencing behavioural difficulties. Under the direction of SLT, they will communicate with parents and outside agencies as part of intervention delivery and school behaviour improvement strategies. Maintain records and collect data relating to behaviour as directed. To provide a physical presence around the school during the school day.
