About
the roles
We are recruiting two Cover Supervisors to join our support
staff team, each with a specific phase focus:
Post 1 β EYFS and Year 1: working alongside our
SENDCo/Early Years Leader and class teachers to support children in our early
years and Key Stage 1 environment.
Post 2 β Years 2 to 6: working across year groups,
including supporting the delivery of our oracy and writing curriculum and
evidence-informed interventions.
In both roles, you will supervise whole classes during
short-term teacher absence, delivering pre-set learning activities with
confidence and consistency. When not covering, you will work alongside teachers
to support individuals and small groups, contribute to assessment and planning,
and help maintain the positive and purposeful learning environment our children
thrive in.
What we are
looking for
You will be an experienced, confident practitioner who can
take charge of a classroom calmly and professionally. You will bring:
Experience of working with children in a school
setting, ideally across more than one year group Strong behaviour management skills, including
de-escalation approaches The ability to deliver pre-planned lessons
independently and manage a class effectively A good understanding of child development,
learning strategies and the National Curriculum Knowledge of SEND and experience of adapting
support for a range of needs NVQ Level 3 or equivalent (Level 3 Supporting
Teaching and Learning in Schools preferred) GCSE Grade 4 or above in English and Maths, or
equivalent A genuine commitment to safeguarding and the
welfare of children
