We are seeking a skilled, compassionate and
committed Level 2 Teaching Assistant to provide support for children with Special
Educational Needs (SEND). This is a
rewarding opportunity to help pupils access learning, build confidence and
develop positive relationships within a nurturing and inclusive school
environment.
The
successful candidate will:
Support children to develop positive social interactions, build
self-esteem and improve their emotional wellbeing.
Have experience of working with children who have social, emotional
and/or communication needs.
Demonstrate a calm, consistent and nurturing approach, with
effective behaviour management skills.
Work collaboratively with the class teacher, Special Educational
Needs Coordinator (SENCO) and external professionals to deliver tailored
support programmes.
Be resilient, reflective and committed to meeting the individual
needs of each child.
Be passionate about promoting inclusion and enabling all children
to achieve their full potential.
The
following is desirable, but not essential:
Experience of supporting a child with Reactive Attachment Disorder
(RAD).
Knowledge and/or experience of trauma-informed approaches and
strategies.
