We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join Lift Four Dwellings Secondary. This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) to join a rapidly improving school where ambition, support and development are at the heart of everything we do.
Your new role
As a Teacher of Maths, you will deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, supporting students in developing confidence, fluency, and a deep understanding of mathematical concepts. You will be joining a supportive and ambitious department committed to ensuring that all students succeed in mathematics. Our curriculum is designed to develop confident, resilient and independent learners who recognise the importance of mathematics in everyday life and future careers.
At Key Stage 3, we follow the Mathematics Mastery curriculum, which fully covers the National Curriculum while providing a structured, deep learning approach built around the three Dimensions of Depth:
* Conceptual Understanding * Language & Communication * Mathematical Thinking
Our curriculum progressively develops fluency, reasoning, and problem-solving skills while embedding numeracy, logical thinking, and mathematical resilience. Through carefully sequenced lessons and regular retrieval of prior knowledge, students are equipped to tackle unfamiliar problems with confidence and accuracy.
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering high-quality, engaging mathematics lessons * Setting high expectations to ensure all students achieve their potential * Adapting teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND, EAL and high-ability students * Using assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform teaching * Promoting mathematical literacy, reasoning and problem-solving skills * Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment with strong behaviour routines * Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning * Working collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff to ensure student success
What you'll need to succeed
