Lift Greenwood is seeking an exceptional Pastoral Leader: Head of Accelerate to lead the pastoral provision for our Year 7 cohort, ensuring every student experiences a successful transition into secondary school and develops a strong sense of belonging, wellbeing, and achievement.
This is a pivotal leadership role within the academy, focused on supporting students to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Working closely with students, families, staff, and external agencies, you will champion high standards of behaviour, attendance, safeguarding, and pastoral care, helping to create a culture where every child can succeed.

The Role
As Head of Accelerate, you will have overall pastoral responsibility for our Year 7 students, supporting them through the important transition from primary to secondary education and ensuring they feel safe, valued, and ready to learn. You will work collaboratively with tutors, teachers, senior leaders, families, and external agencies to deliver high-quality pastoral support, promote excellent attendance and behaviour, and remove barriers to learning. You will monitor student wellbeing and progress, implement targeted interventions, and use data effectively to identify trends and drive improvement.
The role includes supporting the academy's behaviour systems, responding to pastoral concerns, working with vulnerable students and families, and contributing to the development of a positive and inclusive school culture.
