We are looking for an experienced and inspiring SEND 1 to 1 teaching assistant to join our team. Hours of work, 8.45am to 3.15pm, Monday to Friday (30 minute unpaid lunch). We are looking for someone who: is reliable, hardworking and experienced in supporting SEN children in their learning is able to support children with additional needs, supporting learners in class who have an Educational Health Care Plan (EHCP) is able to quickly establish positive relationships with children, built on mutual respect has a strong understanding of how to encourage independent learning has high expectations of behaviour  is able to support an SEN pupil at lunchtimes has good Literacy and Numeracy skills to GCSE standard is willing to contribute to the wider community of the school They will also be… resilient and reflective of practice creative, able to use imagination to develop and extend learning able to work as part of a team, thinking on their feet and showing initiative able to act as a role model for children through their attitude to others and conduct around the school In return we offer a friendly, supportive team who work hard to meet the needs of everyone in our school; wonderful, enthusiastic children who are genuinely excited by their learning; very small classes; a commitment to supporting staff in their ongoing professional development and a real community environment where everyone has a vital part to play and an opportunity to make a difference.
