Visiting Music Teacher - Guitar

Salary: Unqualified Teachers Pay Scale (UNQ) / Qualified Teachers Pay Scale: Main Pay Scale (MPS) Part Time: 6.5 hours over 1 day per week (0.2 FTE). Working day must be a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday, which can be negotiated with the successful candidate. This role is deployable trust-wide, but it is intended to be based at East Point Academy (Kirkley Run, Lowestoft, Suffolk, NR33 0UQ) at the outset. Please note that the Trust Central Services, including the Trust’s 'Music HQ’ is based at Hewett Academy in Norwich. Start Date: September 2026 Are you passionate about music? Inspiration Trust are seeking to appoint a Visiting Music Teacher with a Guitar specialism to support the music department at East Point Academy. If you are an excellent teacher, who is passionate about education and are excited about continuing to develop your practice, then we want to hear from you. The successful applicant will plan and deliver high-quality instrumental/vocal teaching within your designated schools and will facilitate co-curricular musical opportunities. While most teaching will take place during school hours, some work will be required out of school hours, most notably for rehearsals, performances and exams. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate music teacher, with a proven track record in achieving strong outcomes, to have a significant impact. This role presents an opportunity to work with nationally recognised practitioners and access high quality CPD. The trust seeks applications from experienced, specialist teachers of Guitar. Experience teaching, and skill in demonstrating multiple styles of guitar is preferred and will be considered an advantage (acoustic, bass, classical, electric, ukulele). The ability to play and teach another instrument to a high standard would be beneficial, but is not a prerequisite.
