About the role

We are looking to appoint a skilled, compassionate, and committed SEN Teacher (non-class-based) to join our inclusive and nurturing primary school. This is a unique opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs to achieve their full potential. In this role, you will work across the school, delivering high-quality, targeted interventions to small groups of pupils with a range of special educational needs. You will play a key role in removing barriers to learning and supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver tailored lessons and interventions for small groups of pupils with SEND Support children with a range of needs (e.g., Autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, SEMH, learning difficulties) Work collaboratively with class teachers to identify pupils’ needs and adapt provision accordingly Contribute to and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets Track, monitor, and report on pupil progress Work closely with the SENCo and external professionals (e.g., speech therapists, educational psychologists) Support the development of inclusive teaching practices across the school Provide guidance and support to teaching assistants delivering interventions The Ideal Candidate Will: Be a qualified teacher (QTS essential) Have experience of working with pupils with SEND in a primary setting Demonstrate strong knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation Be patient, flexible, and highly organised Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills Be passionate about improving outcomes for children with additional needs Experience working with EHCPs and targeted interventions is highly desirable What We Offer: A welcoming and supportive school community A strong commitment to professional development and training Opportunities to work collaboratively with experienced staff and external professionals A rewarding role where you can make a significant impact on pupils’ lives A positive and inclusive working environment We warmly encourage visits to the school.
