Part Time SEN Teaching Assistant x 2

Eastbury Primary School is a four-form entry school in Barking and Dagenham. We are a fully inclusive school where every child is valued, supported and encouraged to achieve their full potential. We have our own Deaf ARP and a dedicated team who work together to ensure all pupils can access learning and feel a strong sense of belonging. We would like to appoint a SEN Teaching Assistant to join our already strong and supportive team. The successful candidate will support pupils individually and in small groups to access learning across the school. We are particularly looking for someone who is passionate about working with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and who is committed to helping every child overcome barriers to learning. You will play an important role in supporting pupils to develop their confidence, independence and communication skills, while helping to create a positive, nurturing and inclusive learning environment where all children feel safe, respected and able to make excellent progress. We are looking for a candidate with experience of: working with pupils with a range of special educational needs including autism, ADHD and SEMH implementing personalised strategies for communication, regulation and engagement supporting pupils to learn and develop delivering speech and language programmes providing intimate care, including changing nappies and supporting feeding Do you have? level 3 NVQ or equivalent GCSEs grade A-C in English and Maths the ability to remain calm and be consistent excellent communication skills enjoy being part of a team good ICT skills a first aid certificate Eastbury Primary School is committed to inclusion, equality and safeguarding.
