Pre-School Assistant Kibworth Church of England Primary School Salary: Grade 5 Pay Point 7-8 (£25,191 - £25,590 per annum, approximate starting salary of £7,281) Hours: 12.5 hours per week, 39 weeks per year Contract Type: Permanent Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 3:30pm-6pm About the Role Kibworth Church of England Primary School are seeking to recruit a highly organised, empathetic and enthusiastic Pre-School Assistant to work within our Ferns Pre-School setting, supporting the Pre-School Team. This makes learning memorable and helps to develop pupils in a wider sense”. - OFSTED Key Responsibilities Ensure the well-being, safety and security of the children including the locking of doors, windows and gates in accordance with safeguarding procedures. Maintain records as directed. Assist in the planning and implementing a multi-cultural play curriculum to stimulate children’s interest in learning. Liaise with parents/carers and other staff to ensure children are welcomed and supported. What We’re Looking For Qualifications: Good level of literacy and numeracy. NVQ 3 qualification or equivalent. Experience: Experience of working with children under five in informal or formal settings Skills & Knowledge: Knowledge of good practice in under-fives care and education. Knowledge of requirements of the Children Act. Knowledge of Ofsted requirements An understanding of Health & Safety. A knowledge of good security practices.
