Teaching Assistant (Resource Base)

River Mead School is seeking to appoint a passionate and energetic Teaching Assistant to work with their Resource Base. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils. You will support the class teacher in delivering a differentiated curriculum and ensure pupils can access learning effectively across a range of needs. You will work closely with children to explain tasks, reinforce learning in key areas such as literacy, and encourage focus, independence, and confidence. You will support pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development by promoting inclusion and building positive relationships in and out of the classroom. You will provide personal care where required, support therapy programmes, and promote pupils’ welfare, safety, and wellbeing at all times. You will work collaboratively with teachers, the Inclusion Lead, parents, and external professionals to contribute to provision plans and monitor pupil progress. You will also prepare resources, maintain a safe and engaging learning environment, and support wider school activities, including supervision and trips. You will uphold high professional standards, follow safeguarding and school policies, and actively engage in ongoing training and development to continually enhance your practice.
