Salary: NJC point 9-11 FTE £27,254 - £28,142 (Actual pro rata salary £23,468 - £24,232) + SNA allowance (£813.00 per annum) Contract: Full time (pro-rata TTO + 5 days), permanent Closing date: 26th June 2026, 12 noon. Interviews: Week commencing 29th June 2026 Start date: ASAP The Kassia Academy is a specialist SEMH provision within the Kings Academy Trust, offering a small, nurturing environment for young people who are unable to access mainstream education. We are committed to a trauma-informed approach, where strong relationships, high expectations, and personalised support enable pupils to re-engage with learning and achieve positive outcomes. We are seeking a committed and skilled Teaching Assistant to join our team. We are looking for someone who is patient, resilient, and committed to supporting vulnerable learners, and who thrives in a collaborative, supportive team environment. Key responsibilities· Support learners with a range of additional needs, both individually and in groups. Work closely with teachers to support learning, behaviour, and wellbeing. Help implement support plans and monitor learner progress. Prepare and adapt learning resources, including the use of ICT where appropriate. Promote independence, confidence, and positive behaviour. Contribute to assessments, reports, and record keeping. Support learners during exams, trips, residentials, and off-site activities. Liaise effectively with staff, parents, and other professionals where required. Maintain confidentiality and follow all school policies and procedures. Participate in training and wider school activities as required. We are looking for someone who:· Is patient, resilient, and able to build positive relationships with pupils. Can motivate and engage learners who may face barriers to education. Works well independently and as part of a team. Is committed to inclusion, safeguarding, and supporting pupil wellbeing.
