What You’ll Be Doing : Your Impact This role is about much more than just supervising—it's about ensuring the child feels cared for and has a happy, constructive break. Eating Champion Create a positive atmosphere by assisting the child with food (opening packets, cutting items) and encouraging good table manners and healthy eating. Ensure the dining area is ready for service and safely maintained (setting up, clearing spills, wiping down tables). Playground & Safety Leader Actively supervise the pupil in the playground, promoting safe and inclusive games and supporting organised play activities. Resolve minor conflicts with patience and fairness, reporting serious incidents promptly. Manage indoor' wet play activities when weather requires it. Welfare & Care Act as the first point of contact for minor injuries, referring to a first aider if needed. Actively monitor the child with specific dietary needs to ensure their safety. Maintain continuous vigilance to ensure all the child remains safe within the school's designated premises. What We're Looking For: Your Skills & Qualities A genuine love for working with children and the ability to supervise and engage large groups effectively. Exceptional patience, a calm demeanour under pressure, and a positive approach to behaviour management. Previous SEND experience would be preferred but not essential Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, staff, and parents.
