Learning Support Assistant - Reception Class

We are seeking a dedicated,

enthusiastic, and nurturing Learning Support Assistant to join our Reception team. This is an exciting

opportunity for a practitioner who is committed to helping every child flourish

and reach their full potential within a busy, active environment where children

are at the heart of everything we do.

The successful candidate will:

Work closely

with the class teacher to support children’s social, emotional, and educational

development. Help create

a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment that promotes children's

curiosity and independence. Deliver

structured, play-based learning activities and interventions, such as phonics

or numeracy. Support

pupils with additional learning needs, providing one-to-one or small group

targeted support. Assist with

personal care, hygiene, and the physical well-being of the children. Fulfil

midday assistant duties, facilitating games and ensuring a positive experience

during break times.

We are looking for someone who:

Ideally has previous experience working within a

Nursery or EYFS setting. Demonstrates

a sound understanding of child development and effective Early Years pedagogy. Is warm,

caring, patient, and empathetic. Is flexible

and able to adapt their approach to meet the individual needs of every child. Works

effectively as part of a collaborative and supportive team. Has strong

communication skills to build positive relationships with children, families,

and colleagues. Is willing

to undertake relevant training to further their professional development.
