Our new Specialist Resource Provisions are designed to meet the needs of pupils with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) where the primary needs are Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). We are seeking a caring, committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our Specialist Resource Provision. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new and inclusive educational setting from the very beginning, helping to shape provision, build positive relationships and make a lasting difference to the lives of children with additional needs. Working alongside the Specialist Teacher and wider school team, you will play a key role in supporting pupils to develop their communication, independence, confidence and academic skills within a nurturing and highly supportive environment. In this rewarding role, you will be expected to: Support the delivery of high-quality learning experiences and interventions for children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) whose primary needs are Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and/or Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). Work closely with the Specialist Teacher and wider school staff to ensure pupils are fully included in school life and can access meaningful opportunities alongside their mainstream peers. Support pupils with communication, social interaction, emotional regulation, sensory needs and independence skills, using agreed strategies and approaches. Assist in the preparation and adaptation of learning resources and environments to meet individual pupil needs. Contribute to the monitoring of pupil progress and wellbeing, maintaining accurate records where required. Foster positive relationships with pupils, families and external professionals to support the best possible outcomes for every child. Promote and uphold the school's safeguarding, behaviour and inclusion policies at all times.
