Make a real difference every day We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive SEND team and play a vital role in enabling students to thrive—academically, socially and emotionally. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with young people, including those with complex needs, supporting their learning, independence and inclusion within a high-achieving school community. About the role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will: Provide targeted support to students with SEND, both in the classroom and through small group or 1:1 interventions Work alongside teachers to support learning, progress and engagement Encourage independence, confidence and inclusion for all learners Help develop and implement tailored provision and support plans Build strong, positive relationships with students, acting as a role model and key adult You may also have the opportunity to deliver interventions, support individual programmes, or act as a key worker for named students. What we’re looking for We are looking for someone who: Has experience working with young people at either primary and/or secondary school Is calm, organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills Is patient, resilient and genuinely committed to supporting students’ wellbeing and progress Holds (or is willing to develop) a good understanding of SEND and inclusive practice A Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in English and maths is essential. Experience of supporting students with autism or additional needs would be an advantage. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people is essential. Why join us?
