About the role

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, resilient and inspirational Satellite Leader to support the leadership of our established School. This is a key leadership role, providing an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and aspirational colleague to contribute to both strategic and operational leadership, working closely with the Headteacher and Trust leaders. The role carries a significant focus on safeguarding (DDSL), behaviour, inclusion and SEND, alongside responsibility for supporting the development of a high quality curriculum. The successful candidate will deputise for the Headteacher as required, providing consistent, visible leadership and ensuring high standards of safeguarding, behaviour and provision are maintained at all times. This post would suit an experienced senior leader, or a colleague ready to take their first step into senior leadership, who is passionate about improving outcomes for young people with SEMH and complex inclusion needs. Experience of working with pupils with SEND and vulnerable learners is essential. Core Purpose of the Role The Assistant Headteacher will provide strategic and operational support to the Headteacher and Deputy Headteacher in delivering school improvement priorities with a specific focus on the provision at the Copeland Street satellite campus. They will play a key role in implementing initiatives that enhance teaching and learning, pupil outcomes and staff development at this site while upholding the school’s values of Respect Collaboration Trust. They will act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead for this site, and as Assistant to the SENCO, responsible for the assessment for exam access arrangements and progress against EHCP objectives within the classroom.
