About the Role We are seeking an inspirational and dedicated SEND Teacher to join Featherby Partnership School, part of the Maritime Academy Trust. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful difference to pupils with a range of additional needs, while also contributing to inclusive practice across the wider school. As a SEND Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver personalised, engaging learning sequences aligned to EHCP outcomes and the SEND Code of Practice Use a range of assessment approaches to track, evidence and celebrate small-step progress, adapting teaching in response to need Work closely with therapists and external professionals (SaLT, OT, CAMHS, EP) to embed strategies into everyday classroom practice Build strong, trusting relationships with families, ensuring they are actively involved in their child’s learning journey Promote inclusive practice across the school and contribute to staff CPD and professional dialogue Support the development of regulation, behaviour and wellbeing approaches using trauma-informed and child-centred practice This is a role where every day is different — but every day matters, and every moment of progress counts.
