About the role

We are seeking to appoint two fabulous, highly motivated Pastoral Leaders to join our dedicated and supportive team. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic professional who is passionate about student wellbeing, personal development, and ensuring every young person can thrive both academically and personally. The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a positive school culture, building strong relationships with students, families and staff, and providing outstanding pastoral support that enables all learners to achieve their full potential. Unsworth Academy is a thriving, oversubscribed, co-educational and non- selective Bury high school. The school is on an incredibly exciting journey of school improvement. Our latest Ofsted report, in April 2025 was glowing and indictive of an outstanding judgement were it to have been a graded inspection. A new three-year development plan titled ‘Exemplary Unsworth 2028 was launched in September 2025. It will guide our journey to an even more sophisticated level of provision for the wonderful community of Unsworth.
