School Counsellor

We are seeking a qualified and experienced school counsellor/ therapist to join our school. The post is either for 1 or 2 days. This is an exciting opportunity to work directly with secondary -aged students, providing a safe and supportive space to help them navigate a range of emotional and wellbeing needs. We are particularly interested in candidates who can offer an alternative or creative approach to counselling- for example; art-based therapy, animal-assisted interventions or other non-traditional modalities that engage young people in different ways. What the role involves: Provide 1:1 counselling to support students aged 11-18years Create a calm, welcoming therapeutic environment to meet the needs of individual students Work collaboratively with pastoral staff and safeguarding leads Maintain appropriate records in line with school and professional standards We can offer: 13 weeks a year holiday ( including a 3 week Christmas break) Own therapeutic space Onsite gym for all staff members] Free tea and coffee Onsite parking Regular line management and support If you are a compassionate, qualified therapist who is passionate about supporting young people’s emotional wellbeing and enjoys bringing creativity and innovation into your practice, we would love to hear from you.
