JOB TITLE: Food Technician BASED AT: Samuel Whitbread Academy SALARY/GRADE RANGE: NJC Scale 2A Points 3 - 4 (FTE £24,796.00 - £25,185.00 pro rata; actual £21,589.00 - £21,928.00 per annum) RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of Design, Engineering and Food Technology (DEFT) department, and Head of Food Technology HOURS: 37.00 hours per week, term-time including 5 pro rata designated staff training days (job share considered) The Bedfordshire Schools Trust (BEST) is a multi-academy trust providing exceptional education across our community of 11 schools and five nurseries. We are looking for a well organised, self-motivated Food Technician to join our DEFT department from September 2026. The role of Food Technician is crucial to ensure the smooth running of the department. If you are confident, capable and enthusiastic you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
