Are you an enthusiastic Teacher

of English, who sees every sentence as an opportunity to teach pupils how to

think with precision? If so, you will be interested in the opportunity that we

currently have available at Ossett Academy & Accord Sixth Form from September

2026. You will have a passion for Literature that turns even the most reluctant

reader into a curious explorer of the written word, alongside the skills and

desire to develop pupils in your classes and help them achieve excellent

academic results.

Ossett Academy is a large secondary

academy with great facilities and a fantastic English department. We also have

a standalone Accord Sixth Form building on-site, meaning that colleagues also

have the possibility of teaching at A-Level if this is an area of interest or

development.

Your role will involve shaping

the curriculum to reflect your own subject passions, bringing your personal

expertise into the classroom to inspire a new generation. You will develop

creative lessons, which meet the needs of our diverse pupil body and ensure

alignment with industry standards. You will have a deep interest in the

attainment of pupils at every ability level and show vigour and initiative. The

English department at Ossett Academy are an outstanding team of professionals,
