About the role

Merstham Park School is seeking an exceptional and dedicated Head of Year and Transition Lead to play a pivotal non‑teaching role at the heart of our pastoral provision. Your Opportunity  This is a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on students at a critical stage in their education, guiding them through a smooth and successful transition from primary to secondary school. As the driving force behind the wellbeing, progress and day‑to‑day experience of our Year 7 and Year 8 students, you will champion a culture where every child is known, supported and inspired to thrive academically, socially and emotionally within a safe, ambitious and inclusive environment.   What we're looking for: Evidence of commitment to continuing professional learning Able to work with and champion vulnerable children to achieve positive behaviour outcomes Able to promote high standards of behaviour and a good working ethos Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, plan and manage competing demands.  Proven ability to build positive, professional relationships with students, parents and staff.  Please read the full job description and person
