Are you looking for a stimulating and worthwhile challenge? Littledown School is a primary special school for children who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Many children will also have other Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism and ADHD. The work we do is both varied and challenging and, as a trauma informed organisation, all staff are provided with extensive training and support. Staff at our school know that no two days are the same and that no two children are the same either. Our children require very special adults who can support children with behaviours that are complex and, at times, challenging. We would like to employ experienced TAβs (Level 3) who can work as part of our superb team in order to support the learning and development of pupils with a range of needs. It is essential that the ideal candidates will: Have GCSE at grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) including English & Maths (C or equivalent) Have a relevant level 3 qualification Be flexible, caring, hardworking and understanding Have a positive and cheerful attitude Be committed to work full-time Have a good amount of knowledge/experience of SEN/SEMH e.g., Autism, ADHD, Trauma, Attachment Understand the importance of Trauma Informed Practice and be able to implement this approach in your daily routines Have the ability to communicate effectively and clearly in English both verbally and in writing.
