We are looking to appoint a full time Sports Coach Apprentice, to work across the whole school. About the role: To assist and support the PE team with the delivery of physical education, sport and physical activity across the school by delivering agreed activities and sessions under the direction of teaching staff. The postholder will promote participation, physical wellbeing and positive behaviour while ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for pupils. Key aspects of the role include: Assist with the delivery of PE lessons Assist with delivering physical activity and engagement at break and lunch times Ensure apprenticeship tasks/assignments are completed on time Responsibilities: Encourage pupils’ engagement, teamwork and enjoyment of physical activity. Promote positive behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of pupils by following safeguarding and health & safety procedures at all times. Prepare, set up and store sports equipment safely. Attend training and meetings relevant to the role, including safeguarding and health & safety. Contribute positively to the ethos and values of the school. Undertake any other reasonable duties consistent with the grade of the post, as directed by the Headteacher or line manager. Promote physical activity and wellbeing across school.
