We have children from nursery to year 6 and are a 2 form entry primary school. The successful candidate will have a passion and enthusiasm for working with children, be creative, dedicated and have a positive attitude to joining a forward-thinking school. Under the guidance of the class teacher, you would be working as part of a team to promote the emotional, physical and educational development of pupils and specifically supporting the learning and personal development of children to enable them to make best use of the educational opportunities available. The contract will be for a fixed term from 15th May 2026 until 22nd July 2026. The role will be Monday to Friday term time from 8.30am to 3.00pm including a 30 minute unpaid lunchbreak and half an hour per day MDSA duty under a separate contract paid at NGC grade J2; the hours of work will be 27.5 hours per week over 39 weeks (44.85 paid weeks). Your role will include contributing to the delivery and monitoring of interventions for individuals and small groups, supporting assessments and evidencing learning, working with the teacher to create stimulating classroom displays and learning resources plus building positive relationships with the children by being an approachable, caring and supportive role model.
