Email: head@lakenhamprimary.org.uk   Salary: Scale E, Β£13.90 – Β£14.58 per hour    Permanent   Part Time   25 hours per week    Term time only   Lakenham Primary School is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, motivated, and caring individual to join our thriving Before and After School Care as the Wrap Around Care Leader.  Our well-established and popular provision offers high-quality childcare for children attending the school, operating 7:30am–9:00am (Before School Care) and 3:30pm–6:00pm (After School Care) . We are proud of our commitment to creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where children can relax, learn, and have fun.  About the Role   As Wrap Around Care lead, you will lead a dedicated team to deliver outstanding childcare. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the provision, maintaining high standards of care, and providing a stimulating and enjoyable experience for all children.  We are looking for someone who:  Has a warm, caring nature and a genuine passion for working with children  Is flexible, organised, and proactive   Can build strong relationships with children, staff, parents, and school leadership  Demonstrates a positive attitude and a good sense of humour   Key Responsibilities   Plan and organise engaging activities suitable for a wide range of ages  Ensure a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children  Maintain accurate records and manage bookings via the school’s online system  Lead and support staff, including organising and delivering team meetings  Contribute to staff development and performance improvement  Liaise effectively with parents, school staff, and the Senior Leadership Team  Monitor staffing levels and ensure appropriate supervision at all times  Support and develop high-quality provision and quality assurance standards  Essential Criteria   Excellent organisational and communication skills (written and verbal)  Ability to maintain accurate records  Like children and have a good sense of humour and are patient  Experience working collaboratively with staff, parents, and children  Experience of working with children and understand what types of games and activities they like  Desirable Criteria   Level 3 qualification in Childcare (or equivalent)  Level 3 qualification in Play (or equivalent)  Good knowledge of safeguarding procedures and policies  Confidence in leading a team and supporting staff development  Ability to use initiative to enhance learning environments and activities  Experience in preparing reports and attending management meetings  Have a understanding of food safety regulations  What We Offer   Opportunities for training and cont
