Governance Professional Central Learning Partnership Trust Location: All schools in the Trust / hybrid working Salary: CLPT 24 - CLPT 29 (FTE Β£35412 - Β£39862) pro rata Contract: 20 hours per week, term time only Reporting to: Chair of Trust /Chief Officers Central Learning Partnership Trust is a dynamic and thriving Multi-Academy Trust, proudly encompassing 16 schools across all phases, both mainstream and special, located in the vibrant communities of Wolverhampton, Rotherham, and Worcestershire. Governance is essential in Multi Academy Trusts to ensure strong leadership, accountability and high educational standards. Directors provide strategic direction, oversee financial management and hold the leadership team accountable for delivering the best possible education for all pupils within an inclusive and well-managed learning environment. About the Role We are seeking to appoint a highly organised, proactive and knowledgeable Governance Professional to support our Multi Academy Trust. This is a key strategic role, ensuring that governance across the Trust is effective, compliant and aligned with statutory and regulatory requirements. This role will involve working closely with the Chair of the Trust and Chief Officers, providing expert advice on governance, constitutional and procedural matters, and ensuring the smooth operation of the Trustβs governance structures. The successful candidate will be responsible to clerk all of the Trust and Local Governing Body meetings. There are currently 4 Trust Board meetings, 6 Trust Committee meetings, 7 Executive Board meetings and across the 16 schools in the MAT there are currently 30 Local Governing Body and Local Executive Governing Body meetings in one academic year. Meetings are generally held via Teams, however in some instances, physical attendance may be required. There may be occasional additional meetings (e.g. appeal panels, sub committees). Outside of meetings, this is a flexible, home-based role, allowing you to manage your workload efficiently around other commitments. Governance & Compliance Oversee all aspects of governance effectiveness and compliance across the Trust Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, including relevant legislation, funding agreements and regulatory frameworks Manage governance documentation, ensuring accuracy, version control and accessibility Advice & Strategic Support Provide independent, high-quality advice to the Directors on governance, legal and procedural matters Keep Directors informed of changes in legislation and governance best practice Support the Directors in fulfilling its strategic responsibilities and maintaining strong accountability Clerking & Administration Act as Clerk to the Trust Board, Trust Board Committees, Executive Board and all LGB/LEGB meetings.
