As an IT Technician, you will provide high-quality first-line technical support to staff and students, helping to deliver an outstanding digital learning experience. Working as part of a collaborative IT service team, you will support a wide range of technologies, from classroom devices and AV equipment to cloud-based Microsoft 365 services. You will be hands-on, visible, and responsive, resolving issues quickly to minimise disruption to lessons and school operations. Key Responsibilities Deliver first-line support via the IT helpdesk, resolving incidents and service requests efficiently Support classroom technology, including interactive displays, AV equipment, and teaching platforms Install and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other devices Manage user accounts in Active Directory / Entra ID and Microsoft 365 Assist with network support (Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP) and device deployments Maintain IT assets, ensuring equipment is secure, up to date, and fit for purpose Promote cyber security best practice and support safeguarding through appropriate monitoring Work collaboratively with staff, students, and colleagues across the wider trust What We’re Looking For We are looking for someone with a passion for IT support and excellent customer service skills. You will have: Knowledge of Windows 10/11, hardware troubleshooting, and Microsoft 365 Basic networking understanding (e.g. Wi-Fi, DNS, DHCP) Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritise effectively Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach to work Experience in a school or education environment, familiarity with tools such as Intune, and relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft Fundamentals or CompTIA) would be advantageous.
