Vacancy for Cover Supervisor! Hours: 35 hours per week Contract: Term time plus one week Start date: September 2026 Salary: Β£21,550.38 (includes a first aid allowance) We are now looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor within our Support Team who share our core values which are set out clearly in the job description. This post will be a wonderfully rewarding experience for the successful candidates as they will be joining a supportive team which is well resourced and part of our wider Meridian Trust family. The opportunity Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure continuity of learning Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies Support students in their learning and maintain a positive learning environment Provide feedback to teaching staff following lessons Be the first point of contact for first aid when not in the classroom You will play a key role in ensuring that learning remains purposeful and productive in the absence of the class teacher. The ideal candidate Good educational background with excellent written and oral communication skills Knowledge of using different IT software such as Microsoft Office, Email Interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and professionally with staff, students, parents and outside agencies. Positive and enthusiastic approach with the ability to work within a team as well as on own initiative.
