Hambleton/Richmondshire Pupil Referral Service Β· Northallerton, Yorkshire and the Humber
Our Opportunity: The Sunbeck Centre ( Hambleton & Richmondshire Pupil Referral Service) is at a pivotal moment. Following its most recent Ofsted inspection and a period of significant development, the Centre is on a clear journey of improvement, with strong foundations already in place. The Interim Headteacher will play a key role in sustaining this momentum and accelerating progress, ensuring that recent developments in curriculum, behaviour and inclusion translate into consistently strong outcomes for pupils. As a small but influential alternative provision serving nine partner schools, this role offers the opportunity to make a tangible difference, not only within the Centre itself, but across the wider local system. The successful candidate will work closely with schools, the local authority and wider partners to support inclusive practice and improve opportunities for some of the most vulnerable young people in the community. About You: We are seeking an experienced and resilient leader who is passionate about improving outcomes for vulnerable young people. The successful candidate will bring a strong track record of securing school improvement, particularly in areas such as behaviour, attendance and quality of education. They will have experience of working with pupils who present with social, emotional and mental health needs, and an understanding of the importance of building strong, trusting relationships. The successful candidate will be an effective team builder, able to motivate and support staff while holding high expectations. They will be confident in using quality assurance and performance management to drive improvement, and skilled in working collaboratively with a wide range of partners to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
