We want our schools to be healthy environments where both children and staff can develop and where strong, positive relationships are key. Our school, therefore, practices a relational approach with children, our families and our communities. We are particularly interested in working with people who share Our Qualities ; who will work effectively and flexibly as part of a team. Lodge Lane is a two form entry Infant School in Old Catton. The school focuses all of its learning around six values: kindness, teamwork, challenge, respect, curiosity and perseverance and through these values, we follow an inquiry based approach to the curriculum. We are seeking to appoint an experienced and enthusiastic teacher to join our dedicated team, with the flexibility and expertise to work across either EYFS or Key Stage 1. We are looking for someone who shares our belief that children learn best when their learning is purposeful, meaningful and exciting. Experience of Imaginative Inquiry would be highly desirable, although we would equally welcome applicants who are eager to develop their understanding of this creative approach. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner with the capacity and ambition to lead a curriculum subject. They will work collaboratively with colleagues across the whole class team, build warm and positive relationships with children and families, and bring energy, humour and a genuine sense of fun to school life. We are looking for someone who meets children where they are, recognises their strengths and sees opportunities rather than barriers. Above all, they will be committed to raising standards and securing strong outcomes for every child.
