Apprentice in the Early Years Foundation Stage - Level 3 Early Years Educator St Wilfrid's Catholic Academy Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship Opportunity St Wilfrid's Catholic Academy is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a motivated and caring individual to join our team as a Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprentice. This role provides a fantastic pathway to develop your skills while supporting young children in their early learning and development within a nurturing, faith-led school community. Key Responsibilities Support the learning, play, and development of children in the Early Years setting, helping them build strong foundations for future learning. Assist in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. Provide pastoral care to promote children’s wellbeing, confidence, and emotional development. Work closely with teachers and experienced practitioners to create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for all children. Support the observation, assessment, and recording of children’s progress. This apprenticeship offers hands-on experience alongside structured training, enabling you to gain a recognised Level 3 qualification while making a meaningful difference in children’s lives. Hours 30 hours per week 6 hours per day Start Date September 2026 Essential Skills & Experience A genuine interest in working with young children in an early years setting. Willingness to learn and develop skills in supporting children’s learning, development, and wellbeing. Ability to work as part of a team and follow guidance from experienced practitioners. Basic understanding of child development or a desire to gain knowledge through training. Desirable Qualities Warm, patient, and nurturing approach when working with young children. Good communication skills, with the ability to engage and support children’s learning through play. Enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to completing the apprenticeship programme. Commitment to upholding the Catholic ethos and contributing to a positive, inclusive, and supportive early years environment.
