The Midfield Primary School Tree House is an additional resourced provision which serves pupils with a diagnosis of ASD. Many of our children enter school with poor social and communication skills so it is essential that applicants for the post demonstrate clear and articulate oral language. This is a part-time position to work 1 day a week. The day is likely to be Wednesday, There may also be opportunities to work additional days on a bank staff basis. Desired experience and knowledge: Educated to NVQ3 in childcare or equivalent Ability to relate well to children and adults Ability to work constructively as part of a team Experience of working with children in a primary school setting Experience of working with SEN pupils Experience as a play worker or working in an Early Years setting A good understanding of the complexities of ASD (however training will be provided) Experience working with students with speech and language needs The Spring Trust strives to offer the very best education within our power to every child we can reach.
