Part Time Art Technician

We can offer: the opportunity to work within a popular and successful Art department flexibility with start and finish times and working days opportunities to develop and progress your skills and knowledge through training higher priority for your child on the school’s admission criteria after a qualifying period of employment regular staff well-being and welfare sessions annual pay reviews excellent sickness and pension benefits, with the school making an additional contribution equalling over 17% of your salary to this pension scheme You will need: to have an interest/background in art and design to be able to order, prepare and construct learning resources for practical lessons to relate well to both students and adults and have excellent interpersonal skills to be a team player and show initiative to be organised and able to prioritise tasks to understand the importance of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures You will be responsible for: setting up and clearing away lesson resources e.g. table set up, sketchbooks, clay, tools, printing press sewing machines etc assisting with the correct storage of work, clearing drying rack etc. ensuring that all health and safety documentation is up-to-date and accurate managing stock levels of equipment and resources in the department maintaining and using the pug mill, kilns and printing press Previous school experience would be an advantage but is not essential.
