successful candidate will:
Be
an excellent classroom practitioner with a strong track record of supporting
pupils with SEND and raising achievement Hold
the National SEND qualification (or be willing to achieve it within the
required timeframe) Demonstrate
a secure understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive teaching
approaches Lead
and develop effective SEND provision across the school Work
collaboratively with teachers/support staff to improve outcomes for pupils with
additional needs Provide
guidance, support and training to colleagues to enhance inclusive practice Build
strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers and external agencies Play
a key role in safeguarding as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead Contribute
positively to the wider life and ethos of the school Demonstrate excellent communication,
organisation and interpersonal skills
