About the role

We are

looking for a committed, proactive and hardworking teacher of history to join

our humanities team to cover a period of maternity leave. We will consider applications for either part

time (3 days per week/0.6FTE) or full time (1FTE).

This

contract is due to start on Monday 2 November 2026, however due to the nature

of maternity cover posts this date may change nearer the time.

Students enjoy history and achieve consistently very good

outcomes in their GCSE examinations. This post represents an excellent

professional development opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed teacher

of history to develop their classroom practice by working as part of a strong

and dedicated team of history teachers, as well as to develop their subject

skills and knowledge. We are looking for someone who loves their subject and

can communicate and share that passion with their students, colleagues, and the

wider community.
