We have a vacancy for a
confident, enthusiastic, suitably qualified and dedicated Buildings Officer to
provide high-quality support to a large, dynamic and successful secondary
School. The Glossop Road site is housed in a Grade II* listed building with an
additional new build also on site.
The successful candidate
must have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to demonstrate accuracy,
organisation and attention to detail. They will need to have a flexible
approach to working hours to fit in with the needs of the School, an ability to
work effectively under pressure and to deadlines and have the skills and
ability to meet the needs of the role. Full training will be provided for the
successful applicant.

communicate effectively with people at all levels, e.g staff, students and external
stakeholders be able to make
a real contribution to the life of this School
We are

candidate will be required to complete Disclosure and Barring Service
declarations in line with Section 115 of the Police Act 1997. All applicants

This post is exempt from the
Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful applicant will be
required to apply for an enhanced DBS certificate. As the post will involve
regulated activity with children, it is a criminal offence to apply for this
post if you are included on the children’s barred list held by the DBS.
Amendments to the Exceptions Order
1975 (2013 & 2020) provide that certain spent convictions and cautions are
“protected”. These are not subject to the disclosure to employers and cannot be
