Learning Support Assistant - Level 1 Job Reference: LSA Level 1 Salary: Grade B5 £11,640 (FTE £25,583) Hours: 8.30am - 12:30pm, 20 hours per week, term time only Contract: Permanent Contract Time: Monday - Friday Closing Date: Friday 12th June 2026 Interview Date: Wednesday 17th June 2026 Start Date: 1st September 2026 We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Learning Support Assistant, who will work in partnership with the team at Holne Chase to provide an exceptional start for the pupils of the local community. The role will be working under the direction and alongside the class teacher and Special Needs Coordinator to support specific children within their normal day to day learning. The support will enable the children to make effective progress academically, socially, and emotionally. Holne Chase is part of the Preston Hedges Trust which is built on the ethos of Fun, Creativity and Achievement. Since joining the Trust and introducing our wonderful new team we have developed closer collaboration with parents and the community and secured significant investment in technology-rich learning spaces. During our Ofsted inspection, inspectors saw pupils ‘relishing the range of opportunities’ provided to them and being ‘well prepared for life beyond school.’ and we were graded good in all areas of the Ofsted framework. They also noted that ‘teachers know their subjects well’ and ‘reading is a cornerstone of the curriculum. Books are in every nook and corner.’ As an inclusive school, we work hard to ensure children thrive socially as well as academically.
