Visiting Vocal Teacher - (Self-employed)

The Role The Henrietta Barnett School is seeking to appoint an excellent self-employed Visiting Music Teacher (singing) to join our thriving music department from September 2026. We are looking for an experienced vocal teacher who has some experience of teaching students of secondary school age (11-18). The role is advertised as two full days of one-to-one teaching but could be shared between two suitable candidates. Visiting music teachers are self-employed and the contract for provision of lessons is between parents and the VMT. A VMT service agreement and arrangements for instrumental lessons are managed by the Music Administrator (Mrs. Nina Hirsch) who acts to oversee the contractual arrangements between the VMT and parents. About You The qualities of the successful candidate will include: Experience of preparing students for ABRSM exams and also of directing choirs as this role also involves directing our Chamber choir which is currently for students in years 9 and above.
