INTERVENTION SUPPORT WORKER Commencing - September 2026 Term Time Only 32.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 3:30pm Salary - £28,142 to £31,022 FTE Actual Salary - £20,916 to £23,056 p.a. The Role Watling Academy is seeking a compassionate and proactive Intervention Support Worker to support students who are disengaged or struggling to access mainstream learning. Working within our dedicated Intervention Centre, you will deliver targeted small‑group and 1:1 sessions that help students re‑engage with their education, rebuild confidence and successfully reintegrate into their lessons. You will work closely with pastoral, SEND and teaching colleagues to plan and deliver tailored interventions, adapt approaches to meet a range of learning needs and provide in‑class support where required. Accurate tracking, clear communication and a nurturing, consistent presence will be central to your work. This role is ideal for someone who is patient, calm under pressure and committed to helping young people overcome barriers to learning. About Watling Academy Watling Academy is an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ secondary school situated on the western edge of Milton Keynes, encompassing the Whitehouse and Fairfields developments. Opening in September 2020, our school is a new and vibrant learning community for students aged 11-18.
