Teaching Assistant L2 (EYFS) Location: Ardley Hill Academy, Dunstable Contract Type: Permanent Hours of work: 5 days a week, 39 weeks per year (including 5 training days) Job start: ASAP Salary: L2, point 4-5 Closing date: Monday 13 th April, 12pm Overview of the job We are looking for a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to join our fantastic Early Years team at Ardley Hill Academy, collaborating with teachers in planning and delivering programmes of teaching and learning activities for children. You should be passionate about supporting young people in education and an excellent practitioner, able to engage pupils of all abilities in motivating and creative learning. EYFS experience is desirable. KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Provide support in the classroom to individuals/groups of pupils as directed by the  class teacher/line manager (e.g. care plans etc.)  Provide support for learning in the classroom as directed by the class teacher/line manager and help to maintain the order and cleanliness of the classroom  Assist in the supervision of children during the working day, on/off site including for example school visits, swimming; assist in the supervision and support of children during break times.  Under the direction of the Line Manager/Senco/Headteacher develop and maintain supportive relationships with parents, carers and others. Contribute to the care, health and welfare of pupils in accordance with the relevant school policies and support the outcomes of Working Together to Safeguard Children.  Keep records and provide feedback to teaching and other staff on pupils’ behaviour and progress.  Foster a positive, collaborative, and professional working relationship with all team members and peers.  Physical Effort: The job is likely to involve some physical lifting of children and/or positive handling, and lifting of equipment on a regular basis. Training will be provided where necessary.  There could be a frequent requirement to deal with vomit and bodily fluids when children are unwell or when following care plans.
