The Oldham Academy North is seeking an exceptional non-teaching Head of Year to lead and support a cohort of students, ensuring they thrive both academically and personally. This is a key role at the heart of our school, where you will drive high standards in behaviour, attendance, and wellbeing while building strong relationships with students, families, and staff. Key responsibilities: Lead on pastoral care, behaviour, and attendance for your year group Provide targeted support and early intervention for vulnerable students Work closely with families, external agencies, and staff to support student success Monitor student progress, wellbeing, and engagement Promote a positive, inclusive, and safe school culture Pay range: SCP 22-27 - £31,919.14 - £36,201.36 - FTE: £33,699.00 - £38,220.00 - 37 hours per week, 42 weeks per year Qualifications and Skills: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths Safeguarding training (Level 2 or above; Level 3 desirable) Strong experience in pastoral care, behaviour, or student support Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families, and external agencies What are we about?
