Previous experience in a School Business Officer role is desirable but not essential, so long as transferable skills can be demonstrated. The role is to: Manage the provision of administrative
support within the school in a broad range of activities, where co-ordination,
interaction and awareness of related activities are important in supporting
the smooth running of the school. P rovide school business support to employees,
pupils, parents, governors and other stakeholders as and when required. Provide a welcome and professional
front-of-house service

Provide
advice and guidance to the governing body on governors, constitutional and
procedural matters and work within the broad current legislative
framework. Secure the continuity of
Governing Body business whilst observe confidentiality requirements. Contribute towards the efficient functioning
of the governing body and its committees by providing high quality
administrative and organisational support, guidance to ensure the board works
in compliance with the appropriate legal and regulatory framework and
understands the potential consequences of non-compliance and advise on
procedural matters relating to the operation of the governing body.
