Romans Field School is looking for a dedicated Class Teacher and Curriculum Lead to join our warm, inclusive team. We are looking for a teacher who can: Plan and deliver high-quality, well-structured lessons tailored to your pupils’ pathway (Shared, Structured or Scaffolded), using the National Curriculum and our RF curriculum adaptations. Use a range of approaches to assess progress, give constructive feedback and set clear targets that build on prior attainment. Create a safe, supportive and engaging environment that promotes social, emotional and academic development. Manage behaviour positively, implementing whole-school approaches that promote engagement, regulation and positive relationships. Work closely with parents, carers, colleagues and external agencies to provide a personalised learning journey for each child. Contribute to curriculum development and the ongoing improvement priorities in reading, writing and maths, and support the consistent implementation of our new curriculum plans. Take part in school duties, professional development and collaborative activities across the Federation. Uses a Trauma-informed approach. This role offers genuine scope to make a measurable impact on children’s lives and to work as part of a dedicated, skilled team. We are looking for a teacher who is: Passionate about working with children with SEND and committed to inclusive practice. Confident in planning differentiated lessons and using assessment to secure progress. Skilled at building positive relationships and able to support children with regulation, engagement and behaviour. Open-minded, self-evaluative and adaptable — willing to learn and grow alongside the school. Able to communicate effectively with families and multi-disciplinary professionals. Committed to the school’s vision and values and to promoting the wellbeing and safety of every child. Experience in specialist settings or with ASC, SEMH, Complex Needs or PDA is highly desirable.
