Our children are caring and inclusive and our staff are proactive and forward thinking. We are looking to employ a safeguarding / pastoral assistant to work alongside the designated safeguarding lead / HT in supporting the children and families at our school. The role will involve meeting children, families and outside agencies. It will also include organising and running EHAP/ School Lead Plan meetings and ensuring safeguarding systems are maintained to the highest standards. Full training will be given where required. Applicants should have: A positive, calm, patient and warm manner. A child-centred approach. A passion for helping children and families of all abilities and backgrounds to reach their full potential. Confidence in working with families and outside agencies. The ability to challenge and accept challenge. Great communication skills. A strong sense of teamwork. A flexible, proactive and positive outlook. At least a relevant NVQ Level 2. Resilience and empathy. Good admin and clerical skills – proficiency in word, excel and email. Experience of working with a range of primary aged children. A sense of humour!
