Teacher of Art/Tech Start date: September 2026 Grade/salary: MPS/UPS Contract: Permanent, full time Applications welcomed from ECTs We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and skilled teacher of Art or Design Technology, reflecting the exciting growth and flexibility within out creative curriculum. Due to the evolving needs of our students and a commitment to offering a broad, engaging provision, we are open to appointing a specialist in either subject which will include training for Food Technology. This approach allows us to strengthen our team in a way that best complements existing expertise while continuing to inspire creativity, innovation, and practical learning across the school. We are situated centrally in Crowborough on the outskirts of the Ashdown Forest, an area of outstanding natural beauty. We are close to Tunbridge Wells and the south coast. The vast majority of our staff travel to Beacon from a variety of locations within the southeast, including Brighton, Eastbourne, Lewes and Tunbridge Wells. In September 2022, Beacon Academy, together with Uplands Academy in Wadhurst, became a member of the MARK Education Trust (formally Beacon Community College Academy Trust). The acronym, MARK, was selected because staff who work in the Trust are motivated, ambitious, resourceful, and knowledgeable.
