About the role: We are seeking a reliable and proactive Caretaker to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the school, to start as soon as possible. Working under the direction of senior staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the site is safe, secure, clean and well-maintained. Duties will include unlocking and securing the premises, monitoring heating, lighting and alarm systems, maintaining a safe environment, and carrying out routine cleaning and site checks to support the effective running of the school. The role also involves undertaking minor repairs and general maintenance, managing waste and consumables, and ensuring the grounds and buildings remain tidy and accessible at all times, including during adverse weather. You will liaise with contractors, assist with site setups, and contribute to a positive school environment, always upholding high standards of health, safety and safeguarding. The ideal candidate will be practical, dependable, able to work both independently and as part of a team, and committed to supporting the wellbeing of pupils and staff.
