Skills and QualificationsEssential Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification. Experience of teaching within a secondary school setting. Strong subject knowledge and a commitment to academic excellence. A thorough understanding of effective teaching, learning, and assessment strategies. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a purposeful and engaging learning environment. High expectations for pupil achievement, behaviour, attendance, and personal development. The ability to plan and deliver challenging, well-structured lessons that inspire and motivate pupils. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and contribute positively to departmental and whole-school development. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. A commitment to continuous professional development and reflective practice. Desirable Experience of teaching in a faith school setting. Experience supporting pupils with SEND and adapting teaching to meet individual needs. Experience using assessment data to monitor progress and raise attainment. Experience contributing to curriculum development or wider school initiatives.
