About the role

We are delighted that you are interested in joining us at Sudbury Primary School. We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and forward thinking teacher with the responsibility for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities to work alongside the SENDCO. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate that they share our passion for improving outcomes for some of our most vulnerable children and who is committed to developing their own skills to become a highly effective Assistant SENDCO. We believe this is a career-enhancing role for a professional who will be given the time, support and encouragement to lead on this important area of our school’s provision. The post of Assistant SENDCO is a key role for us. As our new colleague, you will work with the SENDCO to lead on the continued development of all aspects of inclusion/SEND and help to rapidly raise standards of pupil attainment and achievement across the school, preparing all of our children for adulthood. Importantly, you will also work with the SENDCO to lead and develop our team of HLTAs and Teaching Assistants so that they are effectively deployed across the school.
